Retail pest control has one problem the other trades don't

Retail carries a specific risk: a customer seeing a pest on your floor costs you far more than the treatment ever would, and stockrooms full of cardboard and packaging are exactly what rodents and cockroaches want. Deliveries bring pressure in continuously, and in a centre your neighbours' waste handling becomes your problem.

  • Shops, shopfronts and retail centre tenancies
  • Cockroaches, rodents, ants, spiders and flies
  • Stockrooms, back-of-house, packaging and cardboard storage
  • Waste areas, loading docks and delivery routes
  • Treated out of trading hours — we are open 24 hours a day
  • Licensed, insured and Cm3 prequalified

The stockroom is where it starts

Cardboard, packaging and pallets are shelter and nesting material, and deliveries reintroduce pressure every week. Treating the shop floor without treating back-of-house is why retail pest problems tend to recur — the population is behind the door customers never see.

A food counter changes the job, even in a general store

A bakery cabinet, deli counter, coffee machine or pet-food aisle puts a food source inside a shop that is not run like a food business — waste goes out less often, and there is rarely a dedicated wash-up area. Those sites carry closer to hospitality-level pressure and are worth treating on a tighter cycle than a clothing or homewares tenancy next door. Timing matters too: the sensible window is before a peak trading period, not during one, because a treatment scheduled around a sale or the Christmas run is a treatment that keeps getting deferred.

How a commercial job runs

  1. 1

Tell us the site and the constraints

Call or send the form with the site address, your operating hours, and any areas or times that are off-limits. The more we know about how the site runs, the better we can plan around it.

  2. 2

    We treat the whole premises

Interior treatment, exterior perimeter treatment, and the service areas, voids and subfloors where the population actually lives — scheduled out of hours where that suits.

  3. 3

    You get the documentation

A record of the treatment carried out, for your own file, plus plain advice on the site conditions driving the pressure.

Can you treat without closing the shop?

Yes. We work out of trading hours wherever possible — our team operates 24 hours a day — so your floor never has to close for a treatment.

We are in a shopping centre. Does that change anything?

It means shared pressure. Waste areas, loading docks and neighbouring tenancies feed the same population, so we treat your tenancy and back-of-house thoroughly and tell you plainly when an issue is centre-wide and needs centre management involved.

What about stock and packaging?

Stockrooms are usually the priority. Cardboard and packaging give rodents shelter and nesting material, so that is where we concentrate, along with waste areas and delivery routes.

How often should a retail site be treated?

Most retail sites suit a scheduled programme rather than reactive call-outs, because deliveries reintroduce pressure continuously. Tell us your site and turnover when you call and we will recommend a realistic frequency.

We sell food as well as general goods — does that change the treatment?

It changes where we concentrate. A bakery cabinet, deli counter, coffee station or pet-food aisle is a food source inside a shop that is not set up like a food business, so waste handling and cleaning are usually built around merchandise rather than food. We treat those areas and their waste routes the way we would a food premises, and we will tell you plainly if the cycle should be tighter than the rest of the shop needs.

When is the best time to treat before a busy trading period?

Before it starts, not during it. Treatments scheduled into a sale period or the Christmas run tend to get deferred, and that is exactly when deliveries, stock volume and waste all peak at once. Book ahead of the period and we will work out of trading hours — we operate 24 hours a day, so the shop floor does not have to close.
