What the job involves
Birds nesting under solar panels or in a roofline are a bigger problem than the noise suggests. Nesting material blocks gutters and creates a fire risk, droppings corrode roofing and panels and carry a health risk, and the mites that live in a nest move into the roof void and then the house. Proofing keeps them off the structure rather than treating them.

Solar panels are the number one entry point
The gap between a solar panel and the roof is sheltered, warm and almost perfectly sized for pigeons and starlings - and it is invisible from the ground, so it is usually the last place anyone looks. Mesh fitted around the array perimeter closes it without affecting the panels. If your panel output has dropped and there is debris in the gutters, this is a likely cause.

Get my free quoteWhy does bird proofing matter more than just removing the nest?
Because the nest will be rebuilt within weeks. Birds return to a site that worked, so unless the access is physically closed you are paying to clear the same nest repeatedly. Proofing is the part that lasts.
What's involved with solar panels?
Mesh is fitted around the perimeter of the array to close the gap between panel and roof, after any existing nesting material is cleared. It does not affect the panels themselves, and it addresses both the fire and the gutter-blockage risk.
Are the droppings a health risk?
Accumulated droppings are a genuine health and corrosion issue, and nests also carry mites that move into the roof void and then into the house. We will assess what has already accumulated and tell you what needs cleaning up as well as proofing.
Do you work on commercial buildings as well as homes?
